Protecting our environment is not only an ethical choice, but very much an economic choice. Reducing the climate footprint or clients’ cooling solutions subsequently reduces the energy consumption with direct impact on operational cost. Modern cooling solutions utilizing Turbocor based chiller systems will reduce the energy consumption with a minimum of 40%, and the modern HFO refrigerant used have minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP). Modern cooling technology uses significant less energy than conventional solutions and are more reliable requiring less service and maintenance.
Going Green
The chiller installed by Unicool for Microsoft in Denmark uses Ammonia under FAT. Ammonia is a very light refrigerant with a high energy content which makes it very efficient. An ammonia chiller is advantageous to the customer offering low power running costs. It is also environmentally friendly because Ammonia, has no ozone depletion potential (ODP) or global warming potential.
Unicool is a proponent of green cooling. We have installed systems that are environmentally friendly and that do not deplete the Ozone layer.
Green Cooling
HFO-1234ze is compliant to European F-gas regulation, which limits the use of certain fluorinated gases that are environmentally unfriendly. With zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential (GWP) of only six, HFO1234ze is well below the threshold of 150 set by the European F-Gas regulation.
